Everyone has conscious awareness to one extent or another. Martin had more than most. He was different than most people too. From his early childhood, Martin exhibited special abilities that dazzled and amused his friends, and in particular Felix, the narrator of his story.

But Martin didn't see himself as different or special. Until of course, his connection to the cosmos brought him further than even he expected. Martin in gone now, but Felix wants you to know what happened. At least he wants you to know what he knows in his limited ability to explain.
