Malta has its knights, its capital Valletta, palaces and fortresses and the coastal life.Valletta is the main city and capital. Birgu is glued to it. The silent city of Mdina is landsinwards. The rest of the island is rural or industrial with occasionally a big or small village. Around the island are bays, ports, sandy and rocky beaches, salt pans, cliffs and caves.
