Driven by financial problems,​ a grandson, entrusted to manage all assets of his grandmother in an Assisted Living Facility, depleted her bank account, put a lien against her house in an attempt to stop her daughter, his aunt, from inheriting her mother's assets. He falsified a letter to a judge. Colluding with the management of the Assisted living he warned them about the intention of his aunt to ​end her mother's life during her next visit. The local Police Department​​ deferred the case to the Court.
