Lily E. Quince is not your USUAL dog. In fact, she's not a dog at all; she's a pterodactyl, and the leader of the crimefighting organization called PAWS (Private Army of Warrior Sleuths). Who are PAWS? Besides Lily, the leader, there are her friends Lucy Maromoset Higgins, a Great Dane/orangutan; Prince Alphonse Saed, a Miniature Dachsund/Mountain Lion; and her best friend (other than Celeste) Fuzzy Wally MacGee, a Chinese Crested/rhinocerous. They are each skilled crimefighters/mystery solvers, though each has his/her own unique specialized skills. They are zany and sometimes ***bling, but they always manage to get the job done.

The SNURFLES are headed by the evil Scarlet Macaw, Frankie. His boss is also a major enemy of Lily and PAWS. He's a Scarlet Macaw called Benny the Beak. Besides these foes, Lily, Cel, and PAWS face the cute but very evil red panda, General Yao Xing; the red Egyptian fox, Omar Khalid Ali; aliens; witches; oh, and evil Leprechauns and Christmas elves who sing like Oompah-Loompahs.
